Wow .. so looks like it was first approved 4 years ago .. I wonder why the drug co. is apparently just now hitting the flashy ads/videos big and hard for it? Possibly they're hoping to fool some of the patients that took Victoza w/o happy results into giving it a try, not realizing it is basically the same drug .. ?

I took Saxenda for a few months last year. It works great (for me). The only drawback is that it can make you feel nauseous. I started popping tums like they were going out of style and then I decided it just made me feel bad. Which sucked, because it worked

It's not new. I took it over 3 years ago. It's the same drug as Victoza for diabetes, just in double the dose. I had terrible side effects and only stayed on it about a month.
