For what it's worth I still have all the malabsorption of fats nine years post op that I had originally
If I eat a lot of fat say a craft table meal or catered or restaurant meal ) ( or just " real " cheese lol ) I'll have yellow colored floating loose poops the next day ( sorry don't mean 2 gross ya out ) but that proves the RNY malabsorption is still working . Of course I never abused that privilege ... like by eating " chaffles" or a Keto diet or last years trend ... Parmesan " crisps ".

How are chaffles "abusive?" There's no need to be as dietary-fat-phobic as you seem to be.

Hi and welcome! I just recently came back to obesity help and it has been such a great experience. I am sure you will find it the same. I, too, am a step-parent and that is why I use this name. Although they are like my own and I had surgery for them so I could be around. The surgery changed my life and while I didn't use this site like I should have, I am glad I am here now because it is helping me so very much. I just wanted to say good luck on your new path. You won't be sorry you made this decision.
