I think the main thing from Geneen Roth was that I HAD to level the physical playing field ( which eventually led to my bariatric surgery ) . Trying to treat a physical problem like a hiatal hernia like diabetes and metabolic syndrome as something psychological or the victims " choice" is ridiculous .

I realized my binging wasn't my fault . I had to fix my body . And when I did ... all those years of O A kicked in ... all the studying and experimenting I'd done kicked in ... and I was able to be exceptionally successful both in losing the weight staying healthy and staying at goal weight basically effortlessly .
