Other ways to use protein powder

Protein powder is great in coffee. Add a little cocoa powder, cinnamon, dash of almond flavouring, sugar substitute and enjoy a decadent, guilt-free "latte".

Vanilla protein powder is yummy in oatmeal. I'm not doing keto, but I was avoiding oatmeal because I wanted to keep my carbs low. Ironically, having oatmeal for breakfast has actually helped me reduce my daily carbs! That's because a small amount fills me up and keeps me full for a long time. I usually use about 30 g of dry oats with boiling water.

I discovered by accident that you can make high-protein "pudding" by adding Spiru-tein to nut milk and blending it in a Nutri-bullet or similar high-speed blender. I've had good success doing this with nut milk (e.g., almond, cashew), but non-nut milks (e.g., rice, oat) don't give me the pudding consistency. I don't know if other protein powders will work.

How do you use protein powder?

I bought powder once and hatted and haven't gone back since! I use Premier Protein drinks... I might be tempted to try their powder... Maybe.

LIZ - I'm with you! I use Premier liquid, as coffee creamer. I never could get the hang of protein powder, in coffee (some peeps get it down, to a science-I'm NOT one of those peeps!). I have, however been putting a scoop of protein powder in already prepared SF pudding, for 17 years - AWESOME -any flavor works!

You have to watch calories and carb counts, but I got very good at making cakes, cookies, muffins, pancakes, and candy from protein powder. I no longer do that, but search the internet for recipes from sites like Bariatric Foodie.

Try this: In a blender, mix one cup of fat-free milk and one package of fat-free cream cheese. Add enough protein powder for four shakes and mix it and then blend in a package of sugar free instant pudding, any flavor.

Pour into a pan and you have five minute high protein cheesecake, fat-free and sugar-free five minutes later.

That sounds really good-and easy! Pardon my ignorance, but how many servings should this recipe yield? Four? I can see me sitting down, with the whole pan, and a spoon :)

Recipe for a latte (or cappucino???): 1/2 to 1 cup coffee, 1/3 to 1/2 c premier protein, 2 tbsp sugar free torani's flavors of choice for premier & torani's. Froth premier protein with torani's, it froths very nicely and pour froth over coffee. Now is that a latte or a cappucino, one has more froth than the other but I can't ever remember which is which.

I have a pumpkin oat muffin recipe that I use protein powder in.

100% whey isolate is not good for baking, Casein or a blend with casein is better.

Make pumpkin brownies with protein frosting. Just mix protein powder with cashew milk and extra sweetener until get a frosting consistency.

Premier and Carbquik makes best protein pancakes

At night I make hot chocolate with my casein protein.
