Episodes like that make me wonder why Dr. N doesn't just admit them to the hospital like he does for others... especially with her being in heart failure, and such a high BMI. A whole year wasted..

I did not see her consultation with Dr Now

it would not surprise me if she did have heart failure

wasnt she a cna before she had kids???

im not sure if I'm confusing her with some one else

Yeah she said when she was 19 she passed her cna and started working in the nursing home where she also lived? I was confused about living there too. Also she said when she was 25 she got too big and got a different job as a librarian so she could sit more.

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't he tell her she had to go into the hospital the last visit and she went home and never went into the hospital? I read she went home and now has started a go fund me page for the surgery. She had the chance to have it paid for on the show? sigh......

On the original episode she agreed with Dr. N that she needed to be admitted as well. I assumed there would most likely be a follow up episode "year 2".. I didn'****ch the super sized episode so it could have said something about her not wanting to go-to the hospital. But on the original episode. At the end, she was saying how she can't leave her kids and needs to lose the weight to be around for them. It wouldn't surprise me if she didn't go-to the hospital. She lied throughout the episode.

Edited for misspelled word.

Ohh lord!!! A go fund me page. I'm so against those pages. If the doctor is trying to help get the help

I get so frustrated when they say they stuck to the diet and they didn't

i would rather see them call the doctor and say hey I'm struggling I need some help

I thank god when I started my wls process the office was an open door for me when I struggled to make the changes and they offered a lot of tools to help me get on track b4 the surgery

KATHY - You are correct...GoFundMe, my flabby behind...

Add up the cost of a week of poor nutrition...etc...Not judging...Ok, maybe a little...But, those poor kids....

Ok, Peeps - YES, I KNOW IT'S A TV SHOW !!! But...these are REAL people, and those are real children, and I want to smack the KFC, out of somebody

I personally knew some of the participants, from the early seasons. They weren't as SMO, or as "sick", but I guess maybe ratings weren't high enough. and now TLC gets folks from all over the country - the bigger, and more damaged, the better...

PERSONALLY, I would rather see a 450 lb person, who WANTS to work the program, than a 750 lb person, who just wants to screw up...but that wouldn't make for good TV...or forum discussions :)

As of May 2, she has raised $175 of her $10,000 goal.
