Ketogenic Diet After Bariatric Surgery: Miracle Weight Loss or Danger in Disguise?
So, I do a modified Keto diet for WLS that I had, DS. I still hit my protein goal of 120 a day, just keep my carbs under 20% and let my fats fall where they may. Which if you read the "diet" the NUT recommend protein first, veggies next, and THEN if you have room carbs. I hardly eat any processed food besides a protein bar or a high-fiber wrap. I'll do eat other carbs and most are natural carbs in my veggies and fruits.
To be honest, this what most of the vets tells us as well. You want to:
lose=lower your carbs
gain=increase carbs
maintain=find your happy spot
I'm below goal and I still want to lose more and see how the skin removal looks, then I'll pick a number on the scale and stick to it. Time will tell.

I call mine the Grumble Monster!
Fat can range from 60 to 85. I honestly don't look at unless I start having a bathroom issue, then I'l look at the last few days and try an increase it. Also, my gallbladder was removed over 20 prior to WLS and that my have something to do with it.

Using various "macro calculators" - inputting the SAME info - they say my fats should anywhere from 40-90...Confused, much ????
I had my gangrened gall bladder removed, in 1973, the week before my 17th birthday. Freaky, I know!
