Is It Possible To Love Exercise After Bariatric Surgery?
She states this: "The only real thing you have to bank on to reverse these trends of slowing the metabolism is exercise."
She is unaware of an even stronger REAL method, and that is timed meals, aka intermittent fasting or longer periods of daily fasting. This is a time-eternal, proven option that is REAL and serves the disabled, the elderly, the ill, those recovering from another surgery, unable to be outside in bad weather/unwalkable neighborhoods/without a car, working full time, no chid care, etc.
The Nobel Prize in Medicine in 2016 was given for the discovery that natural human 'atuophagy' -the body healing itself by using and absorbing old cells- both increases metabolism over calorie limit dieting, and also been found to DIMINISH need for skin removal surgery because the body is breaking down and utilizing its components...ie old loose skin, over time.
The avoidance of skin removal surgery, the cost, risks, pain and long recovery across multiple surgeries is being avoided now, through the work of Dr. Jason Fung, with severely ill, morbidly obese, diabetic patients. That was not the main goal, though.
Many patients, older, sicker, have been able to stop all T2 medications, lose over 100 pounds, and none have required skin removal, to date.* (I am hoping he will produce the first report/book of clinical photographs with the transition documented. He is a nephrologist, not a plastic surgeon, but measured skin loss over time would be ideal confirmation.
Just anecdotal images from T2 and fasting diet patients shows excellent skin reduction/recuperation from severe weight loss. Young skin shrinks faster, but avoiding even the need for one surgery?

Those with smaller stomaches from bariatric can consult with their nutritionist on being able to eat the calories needed, get the protein required in a 4-8 hour meal window, called On Meal A Day, and see if that is safe ro being. A 16 hour window is ideal, but 12 hours of more is a start.

I am highly skeptical that IF will mean that you don't need skin removal surgery. SMO folks have grown extra skin to cover their body fat, and not even the magic of IF will shrink its surface area back to fit a non-MO body.
"Anecdotal images" mean absolutely nothing.

I thought they were trying to imply that you don't need to exercise with IF. (Which is equally ridiculous!)
They seem to be banging the Keto/IF drum pretty loudly, regardless.
