Compression garment coverage
Mine wasn't and I thought what a high price for a throw away item. But, you know, I spent so much time in it that the cost over usage made the output reasonable. As much as I hated to be in the thing, I came to rely upon it like a security blankie at the end and almost can say I missed it a little bit when it was time to say goodbye. That said, my cost was nothing NEAR what you have quoted. Ouch!
Good luck with your surgery!

I had thigh work done and the doctor put the LBL garment on at the end of surgery before I was conscious. They measured me at my pre-surgical visit and the cost of the garment was included in the surgery. I hope your dr will do the same. At 2 years out, I still wear it after a long drive or flight.
