Loose or Fitted Clothes?

I'm not good at loading/copying pictures, as you can see. Can't get the image size I want, and can't get the pictures in the order I wanted to.

Anyway.........

I was getting ready to go out the other day and stopped in the bathroom to grab my lipstick. As I went to grab it, I glanced in the mirror, and stopped dead in my tracks. I looked a fright. I had a loose blouse and jacket on and I looked a mess. I went and tucked in the blouse and put on a zip-up sweater that fitted property. What a difference. I felt a hundred percent better. The baggy clothes (in my opinion) made me look heavier. I have some bulges, but I felt more "put together" in the fitted clothes.

How do you feel in the clothes you're wearing?

I've got to make a trip to the local thrift shops...and I've got to start trying things on before I buy them!

(BTW, I have since cleaned my bathroom mirror! )

You absolutely do look great in the fitted jacket. I guess you have moved to a warmer climate? Congratulations!

I still have a belly so I still like things a little flowy. Definitely less flowy than I used to wear though! I do wear a lot of cardigans/wraps/etc because I'm cold always and if it has a zip, I've been going for fitted size but if it's a wrap, I'm ok with looser because it feels more cozy!

I definitely stick to fitted clothes these days. As soon as something gets too loose, I put it in the donation bin. This is good for me because it motivates me not to regain, as clothes are expensive!

I agree, you look put together and slimmer in the fitted clothes. I have a hard time with this, I still wear clothes a little baggy. When I do get something fitted I end up not wearing it and putting it in the "goal pile." You look great!

I recently transitioned to "maintenance" and have been wearing only fitted clothes. I think it helps me be more conscious of my body, and helps me be mindful about keeping at a steady weight.

I think the best way to get an answer is to use the mirror. Some clothes look better fitted and some look better loose. It depends on the cut of the clothing as well as your body type.
