Hello!

Was told this morning that I'm APPROVED for the RNY surgery. I can't stop crying. I'm so happy. The rep said there's a lot to do on their end, but I'll get my actual surgery date soon. Wow, this is happening.... this is actually happening!!

I am so very very happy for you! Hopefully the clinic or hospital will work really hard on your end to get you through to the pre-op diet stage and then to your surgery! I'll just warn you (because no one talked to me about this), you may go on an emotional roller coaster after surgery so don't think you are alone in that. Spend time reading on this conference and talking to your support network. I'm just over a week out now (9 days) and there have been some hard times. I wish someone would have warned me. That being said though, today is a day to celebrate and soon you will be telling us all about your surgery!

What conference? I've been reading posts in this forum, but will check the others too. I can imagine being on an emotional rollercoaster. This is such a life-changing event.

My doctor explained that the emotional roller-coaster is probably a result of the meds used during surgery. I am certainly getting better each day (only 10 days from surgery now) but it was a little unsettling for a few days. And by conference, I meant this forum- sorry!
