There is no set rule Liz and it's not an automatic Liz that you are going to start regaining. Please don't worry. If you stick with the rules, eat right and move you will be fine. I maintained a 200 pound lost for over 10 years and then when my husband's health started going down hill all my focus was on him and not me and I gained for the first time.
YOU GOT THIS!

I'm 9 1/2 years post RNY. I tried losing the 15 pounds of regain by myself ( for a year) but didn't have success.
I rejoined Weigh****chers (I'm a lifetime member for 20 years!). I find it quite easy to stay on my bariatric eating plan with their point system. I use the WW phone app for tracking, finding nutritional information for restaurants and recipes.
I guess I need the accountability of knowing someone else will weigh me weekly and I stay for the meeting for motivation. I also see men and women who come week after week and verbalize their excuses for why they aren't losing and it reminds me of myself when I've made the same excuses or rationalizations.
I've lost the 15 pounds of regain, but continue to try to get down a few more pounds.
This is working for me - I realize it may not be for everyone.

I actually just lost my regain. My weight had crept up over the past year and I had to do something before it got out of hand. I was able to lose about 40 lbs in 3 months to get back down to my goal weight. After 13 years of hard work, I refuse to fail.
It was all done with old fashion hard work. Lots of cardio, weights, and clean eating. No diet with a name, or anything. I cut out a lot the excess junk food, cut out beer, and sweated a lot more. :)

Hey Josh,
I know you have never heard anyone say this but anyone that is experience regain and says enough is enough is a winner all the way. Let's be honest it's easy to get back on the merry-go-round of tomorrow and then mess up and then feel so bad about it you repeat the pattern and before you know it you are right back to your beginning weight
You had the smarts to identify what caused your regain, made the changes you did and got it done! Kudos to you
