Lower Body Lift with Dr. Carmina Cardenas - 5/3/19
I've been toying with this in my mind a little. I like quarterly goals, if I can make it though a quarter, then I'll decide if I'll build in it or swap it out for something else. So my list would be broken up in quarters if 2019/
get my SHRM certification
do a spending freeze
do another run streak
Ride my bike this summer
Despite feeling 'plump' today- I'm not feeling a weight related goal. I'd rather focus on my calories/tracking, and let the #'s fall where it may.
Thats all I can think of.

Those are great!! I am considering getting a bike in the spring/summer, not a serious one but just a cruiser kind. What do you have?

Nice Kathy! Do you use meetup? I've moved cross country a few times as an adult and I"ve found meetup to be a great way to start meeting people; since you can pick the activities based on your interests, you get a bit of a jump by meeting people you have something in common with already!

I do and also Nextdoor.com It was a great way I made life long friends when I moved from Chicago to NorCal. I am so tired and told my son that is it, no more moving. The only way I will move again is if someone is carry me out on a stretcher
Take care,
Kathy

Thanks to everyone who's posted above. I'm groovin' on everyone's plans for 2019. I'm about to start the same process for myself, so thanks for all the inspiration.
BTW, I really like the quarterly goals / intentions. Thanks for that approach, too. :)
Something else I plan to do as part of my 2019 planning process is to identify those activities and investments (of time, money, energy) that are no longer priorities for me and/or that aren't aligned with my current priorities. In short, I want to make more room in my life for things that REALLY MATTER to me now.
So 2019 isn't just another year to add more goals to my already busy (too busy?) life -- but to "declutter" my life. :)

I think that's a really good point; eliminating the things that don't bring joy (where you can) is as important has having goals for the year! Good luck with that inventory.

I'm happy to say this is my 2nd year in a row where my goals don't have anything to do with weight loss. I remember that initial excitement and then that insane amount of dread at making goals to lose 40, 50, or 60lbs.
Mine are:
- Build our new house, and move into it!
- Make a trip home as a family, either at spring break or over the summer.
- Be poised to take over the director's position in my division when she retires at the end of 2019.
