Making through cold winter and holiday meals
What is a good way to keep from gaining when they keep shoving food in your face.Do not get me wrong love the holidays.I am 63 year old male last two years two total hip replacements gained weight even while doing therapy.I do ride a stationary bike and lift weights.Belly fat is my main problem.Any advise would be greatly appreciated.HAPPY HOLIDAYS :)
Have you had weight loss surgery? I ask because if you have a smaller stomach (VSG) or smaller pouch (RNY) then a good strategy is to make sure you prioritize protein. I can eat five Christmas cookies or an entire bag of popcorn and not be full. But give me 5 ounces of deli meat and I am stuffed. So if you are at a party, go for the meat and cheese first, leaving less room for the dessert table. At a holiday dinner, eat the ham and turkey first and way less mashed potatoes and stuffing.
