Halloween is just around the corner. Share your tips for dealing.
Those were the days, I would go out and buy all my favorites and nibble, nibble, nibble. Sadly going through my sons bag letting him know I was checking for needles and pins and pulling out all the Reese's peanut butter cups and pay days. Now I just buy all the candies I hate and give it away as fast as I can. Here are some articles that are great about Halloween

I love Halloween and have always bought the "good stuff" for the kids. My neighbourhood has grown up over the past few years and I hardly get any kids at all. I had tons of leftovers and ate it all!
So this year I bought chips. I'm putting them in a bowl on my porch in a help yourself kind of deal. I'm going out with friends. My neighbour will remove anything left by 9:00 pm.
Done!

I was thinking that same thing Cathy - that bowl wouldn't last past the first batch of kids at my house.
Halloween isn't my favorite holiday, but I love our neighborhood because everyone is out and about with their children and walking and playing and visiting. This is our 25th year in this house and for sure one of our biggest blessings has been the sense of community.
Having said all that, that bowl would still be cleaned out before 6:00pm here, with zero chance of leftovers by 9:00 =)
It makes it easy to ignore! I try not to have that kind of food that I like in the house. Been there, done that... more than a few times since surgery.
I know better now and if I want sometime i try to find a serving size one not a box of serving sizes.
It's helped a lot. I think I only have one thing I love that I can't get in a single serving size but I learned to buy that one to share at a party!
