problems with diet due to allergies
"I'm sorry you took it the wrong way"
Please excuse me then Lucky. In my world "I'm sorry" equals an apology or an attempt at one.
edited to add non-apology number next because there is a pattern. And it's not in my head.
"In my second post to Sparklekitty, I was sorry that she took my original post as a challenge instead of as a compliment, which I intended it to be. "
Amy R: I'm really not sure what your intention is for prolonging this post. At this point, it has gone on long enough. This is my final post on the topic.
The word "sorry" has more than one definition in the English language. You are making the incorrect assumption that when I used the word "sorry" that I meant "feeling regret or penitence."
However, I used the word "sorry" to mean "feeling distress with someone else's misfortune." For example, I was "sorry" to hear about the death of your family member.
In the 2 sentences of mine you listed above, there was no intent to apologize. If you replace the word "sorry" with either "sad" or "disheartened," perhaps, you will get a better sense of what I meant.
Thank you, for bringing the no BS facts...I love bottom line facts...
IMHO, I don't pay attention to studies done on rats...I am not a rat...not the long tailed, beady eyed kind, anyway...
ANYBODY can find a "study", to back up what they WANT it to say

Try not to get discouraged, or to discourage yourself.
I'm close to 10 years out and I've never used any artificial sweeteners other than the aspartame and God knows what else they put in my Diet Coke.
Honestly I don't think it's going to be a problem for you post op. You've already been given some ideas for protein powders, and re-assured that many people never drink a single protein shake.
There are hundreds of recipes out there that fit your individual, unique requirements. Try Google and Pinterest; seeing the flexibility that is readily available should help you to feel at least a little better.
(I'm hoping your last statement was just an off the cuff remark due to some considerable frustration. Because if you're ready to give up over this issue, you may want to reconsider surgery.)
When you have your nutritionist appointment, he/she will be able to help you work out whats best for you.
As another poster said, if you are ready to give up before you have even started, you may need to rethink having surgery.
