Just gag me now...tried Walmart sugar free sweet tea packets
Hi Kathy:
I haven't had Crystal Light in a while. But, when I used to drink it, I liked raspberry lemonade. It was so much better than plain lemonade, although I liked that, too.
Now, I am kind of stuck on black raspberry ICE sparkling water. I started drinking it during my pre-op period when I had to give up Diet Coke, a previous addiction of mine.
I asked my nutritionist if ICE is okay to drink after RNY because it is "sparkling water." Fortunately, she approved it. It is one addiction that I carried forward into my new, healthier lifestyle. This new addiction is so bad that I have Walmart deliver at least three 12-packs to my house every 2 weeks! At least, I am drinking enough fluids to meet and exceed my daily goal!
I'm a crystal light fan too, I like the Iced tea w/lemon, the tangerine/grapefruit and the pink lemonade, I add more than the 500 ml of water it calls for though otherwise it is too sweet, and it has to be the powder packets, I've tried the liquid "squirt" type ones but must be a different sweetener and I had the same yuck reaction, can't stomach "mio" either for same reason. I do still have the occasional caffeine free diet pepsi, but as I used to enjoy with a meal and can't do that now, I have to think of it just when I want something, other wise I also drink a lot of ice water with a little lemon juice.

I love Wyler's light Strawberry Lemonade from The Dollar Tree - 10 single packs for $1. I also like the Pink Lemonade as an occasional alternative. I use sugar-free Hawaiian Punch "Fruit Juicy Red" from The Dollar Tree to mix with water and unflavored protein powder, as the taste is a bit stronger and helps mask the protein taste.
