I've always wondered what the big draw is in making them so loud though? Is there a story behind it? Not sure about anybody else but I can hear one miles away. Maybe because I've been around them all my life. But that wouldn't explain why I can feel the shaking from far away too.
It seems the noise level and such is almost a Harley trademark. Just also seems that there would be a reason for it other than that though.
loud pipes save lives.. you gonna hear us before you see us therefor you are looking for us and wont hit us once you hear those pipes !

Those are gorgeous! I see a fair bit of the chainmaille work at the sci-fi conventions; yours could go in any of those high priced booths!
