Well, it's to be expected that you'll lose more slowly since you revised from band, also you'll lose more slowly if you were a lower weight starting out (like close to 200). But 43 lb in 3.5 months is good!

That being said, I'm a little confused about some of the things you've said. Like how you don't want to rely to heavily on shakes. Are you drinking any protein shakes at all? There are people years out who have one in the morning. I drink one every morning and it is the ONLY reason I get in my 60g of protein a day. Otherwise, there is no way I could. I guess I don't understand the reluctance to rely on shakes.

Lastly, your calorie count of 550ish is a good place, def try and stay there, but also try and get the new count with the nuts asap because those thinks are super high in calories.

Best of luck, I think you are doing a great job and this is totally the time to consider these things so we can move forward in our healthier life styles, so here is to working out the kinks lol

Thanks. I do have a shake every now and then. It's 20 grams of protein in 8.5 ounces, but I can't drink those fast yet either. It takes much longer than 30 minutes.

Try skipping the nuts for low-fat string cheese, it's portion controlled. Look for other options and know your calorie count you are shooting for each day. Are you keep track of everything you eat? Do you have water within arms reach at all times? I have myself on a schedule for when I can eat and it helped me a lot. I also pre-enter everything for the day to keep myself on track. You'll need to find things that work for you and it looks like you need to focus on you basics first, then move forward. Try My Fitness Pal to track your food and water. Good luck on your journey!

I'll try My Fitness Pal. My fear is that I will still be limited in protein and fluids due to the heavy discomfort in my sleeve. Thanks.

That's normal. You should be almost just protein and water with shake if you need help with the protein. As you get further along and you're hitting your goals for protein you can add a few veggies in that have a low net carb count. Your sleeve is doing it's job!

Your lack of logging/tracking is likely contributing to the rate of loss. It's absolutely possible that you're eating more calories than you think.

Do you guys follow Keto? Do you limit fats? Do you stop eating by 6:00 pm or any specific time?

Yes, I do Keto. My micronutrients are as followed 10% carb, 50% protein, and 40% or less of fat. Your goal needs to be protein first right now and forever. I have a snack before bed so I can take my evening medication.
