After Iron Infusion
Depends on many factors - how low your ferritin/iron labs are; what drug you're getting and how many infusions are required for that drug.
I've had several different infusions over the last 10 years or so. Ferrilicit, Venefor, and the most recent was Injectafer. The only time I had really bad symptoms was when I had the Ferrilicit infusions (more than 10 years ago). The injectafer has had the longest staying power so far (it's been almost 18 months and I'm still feeling great). That was also the easiest set of infusions.
Everyone is different and everyone reacts differently to different infusions. When I was really sick (10+ years ago) I started feeling better after the first 2-3 infusions (but back then I was having infusions weekly for 2 months then monthly for 2 months). The latest (injectafer) was two infusions one week apart (like you're having).
Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

Typically, it takes a few weeks before I really feel better. Some folks feel the effects much sooner.
My advice is to make sure to drink a lot of fluids the day before the infusion. It makes finding a vein easier.

It usually takes me about 4 days to really feel better.
I've never had a bad reaction to the infusions, either.
