Dentist says I need teeth extracted.....

My Dentist says I need teeth extracted because of decay from previous VBG.

I am in the process of getting a revision to RNY, possibly in 6-8 weeks. My question is should I have my teeth extracted now, or after RNY?

Did you take your supplements (including calcium) as directed?

If someone has calcium deficiency after (any) bariatric surgery, it can lead to tooth decay.

Also the VBG is notorious for causing acid reflux and vomiting, which can lead to tooth decay.

I had weight loss surgery 20 years ago...VBG be is Vertical Banded Gastroplasty.....basically old school stomach stapling!

Are you planning on taking vitamins before and after RNY, and to confirm appropriate amounts with labwork at least once a year?
