My favorite is shrimp then chicken then beef. I like most fish but haven't been able to stomach salmon since surgery. Pork has never been a favorite, never have had lamb. I love bison but it's kind of expensive here. I love elk but it's much the same...expensive and hard to find here.

i miss most veggies as I do like them better than most meat.

Hi Melsbells,

I don't see your surgery date so not sure how far out you are? I love fish and especially salmon. Before surgery it was my go to fish. After surgery it took me 6 months before I ate it. Tried the 3rd, 4th and 5th month and it was to pretty OMGOSH, Trader Joe's use to have the best bison burgers at a reasonable price and they ended up dropping them because the supplier could not keep up. Tried to find an alternative but as you said it's expensive here too!

Thanks for sharing! Let's put a shrimp on the old barbie this weekend

Eight years post op I eat mostly vegetarian / pescatarian not really by choice but because I'm usually grossed out by meat . Even STARVING I pass the meat displays in the grocery store like this .

My go to protein is always rice and beans ... miso soup , fat free cottage cheese, and fat free fish scallops and shrimp served a thousand ways.
