I absolutely agree with you! We need to understand ourselves to have a better life thin or obese. I definitely ate for emotional reasons and I still need to deal with those emotions.

When I was an overweight teenager I believed all my problems would disappear if I lost weight. Then someone pointed out that there are a lot of thin who commit suicide.

I understand this now. I once attempted suicide. I was young, thin and attractive and I remember one of the nurses saying something to the effect of "She is so pretty, I wonder why she wants to kill herself". I used to wonder that myself.

This is truly sad. I guess this is why we need to mentally prepare our selves for what may happen after weight loss. Sad, very sad.
