Weighing Habits?
I'm curious what kind of weighing habits WLS patients (pre & post surgery) have. I know some weigh daily and some only weigh weekly (or even longer intervals). That is a more serious debate, but I was more curious about funny quirks, habits, or superstitions people have for weighing themselves.
For example, I have a scale at home but for some weird reason I don't trust it and rarely use it. I relay on the scales at the YMCA. There is one in the weight room and one in the men's locker room. On the days I weigh (Mondays and Fridays usually), I will take three measurements. Crazy huh? One is pre-workout in the locker room (workout clothes/shoes on), one post-workout in the weight room (clothes/shoes still on), and one in the locker room post-shower with only a towel on. I know that sounds weird but its my own little weighing habit.
And before anyone gets too serious, this post is intended to be fun. I'm not asking for or saying there is any right or wrong ways to weigh yourself. I just have my superstitions and habits regarding weighing and I'm sure others do too.
When I weight I have to document it immediately. Otherwise my mind will twist the numbers around. A few weeks ago I weighed in at 284.7, but a few hours later I recalled it as 287.4 in my head.

Hahah, I don't consider that I've dropped a size, until I'm in that size in non-stretch jeans.
