I'm struggling right now because even though I'm eating on plan, getting 75g of protein and usually around 800 calories. I've actually gained 2 lbs, it hardly seems possible. Between the scale going up and my ulcer I'm really depressed, and don't know how to get myself out of it.

I keep trying to say it's only a number....

Hi Julia,

It looks like you had surgery a few months ago. Stick close to your surgeon and support group for advice and change us. After losing for an extended period of time you body does say WAIT, I don't like this what is going on?

I lost consistently for about 6 months, then all of the sudden it stopped. It stopped for 9WEEKS Almost lost my mind. Make a note of other areas of success. Measurements, how much more you can do, sleeping better at night, doing things you have not done in years...... Don't let the scale be your only indicator of success. Try also to change what you are eating and doing to move. That helps sometimes too. Just take it one day at a time and if you know you are all doing all the right things, sticking with the basics and the scale will move again. STAY STRONG!

Thank you! I know the scale will start moving down again, it's just so hard right now to stay positive.

Julie, do you have a weight loss surgery bucket list? OMGOSH, that list got me through some really hard times.

Go nuts, dream big and make a list of all the things you want to do as the weight comes off and when you hit goal. I am 14 years out and still marking things off my WLS bucket list.

The last one was driving a race care at Laguna Seca in NorCal.....
