(edited to add the first word here...) WELCOME!

A big help for me once I decided on the type surgery was finding the menu threads on the surgery specific forum. I sorta stumbled onto it by accident. But seeing what people are eating at various points in their post op journey was a BIG help for me!

Best of luck!

Welcome! I searched like crazy here while in the early phases of working with my weight loss surgeon. And the on-going support has been invaluable. Your personal diet is a good start to getting your mind where it needs to be for surgery. I did the same, but then had to fulfill a 6 month supervised period for my insurance. In the end it was the best thing for me to make sure I was committed to making the changes I needed to make!

Good luck!

Welcome to the boards Liliann! We are so happy you joined us. Even if you haven't had surgery yet, it is encouraging to post your daily meals on a menu board (even if they are just liquid) and take a look at how everyone is eating.

Welcome Liliann! This is a great place to land no matter where you are on the surgery spectrum. Good to have you and glad to see you're here for learning. It helps to have an open mind when you're dealing with life changes of this magnitude.

Looking forward to seeing you around!

Thank you all for the kind welcome....

i have a lot to read... am thinking about wls, but am more concerned about my mental health, and copd, and heart issues. Have plenty of questions for the surgeon. Am doing great on my personal liquid plan...

brief intro... my name is Liliann, am single, never married, no kids. I live in NJ with my only sister and aging ,disabled mom..which me and my sister are caregivers. Am in my 50s age..weight struggling all my life.am 440 Lbs and dealing with sciatica.....

Once I speak with a surgeon, will decide if my health is good for surgery. For many years my medical doctor urges me on this..but very concerned about my mental illness.

well, again, thank you for reading...be well..

Liliann
