Calorie intake info
Anyone have a chart or rough idea how many calories one should be ingesting post op? I am 7.5 months post op sleeve gastrectomy.. I am waiting an email back from my dietician.. but was just curious. I know it goes by 'weight' but even a rough estimate would be great.
Thanks
Ana
I aim for between 800-900 most days. Though many stay under 800 during the weight loss phase.

About 800 per day during the losing stage. For lifetime maintenance, multiply your goal weight by 10 for women or 11 for men.
If you are a woman who wants to maintain 140 pounds, then eat 1400 calories per day.
It will vary with each person, and this is just a starting point.

If your ticker is correct and you still need to lose 100 more pounds, you should aim to keep calories around 800 and carbs under 50. Dietitians sometimes tell us to up them to over 1000 but many of us maintain on that. Keep them low while you are losing and lose the excess weight as soon as possible. It gets harder the further we get out.

At 12.75 months post-RnY, I keep to 625 calories per day. I make sure I'm getting a minimum of 60 grams of protein per day, though more is preferable, and keep carbs under 20. I find that I am very rarely hungry at this caloric level, and if I am I will have a little extra protein. I still have 30 pounds to go before I hit goal, and hope to lose an extra 13 or so pounds beyond that to have extra wiggle room, providing my dexa scan confirms this as advisable. I keep my calories this low because: 1) I do not find myself feeling at all deprived, and 2) I believe it helps me to maximize my weight loss during my honeymoon period. So far so good! Best of luck to you!
