Vitamin help

I'm at such a loss. My vitamin a,d,e,k are scary low. In order for me to get better or have a transplant those have to come up. He said if they was to do transplant I wouldn't make it. My vitamin k is so low that I have night blindness and nothing clotting my blood so something as little as pulling a little hang nail and my hand is covered in blood. I was receiving injections of these specific vitamins which was $200 a month out of pocket. Now since doctors do not want me working my insurance will not cover any of these. I can feel myself getting worse again. I've made several different calls and nothing. I worked the same place for 22 years so this is all pretty new to me. Has anyone had a issue close to this and if so what did you do or call? I'm desperate. I had weight loss surgery back in 2005 and have malabsortion issues so the oral form of these didn't help due to malabsortion issues. So not only do I have cirrhosis I also have severe vitamin defency and malabsortion and malnutrition and liver disease. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

First, do you have either short or long term disability? If you're on work-sponsored disability then you should still have insurance coverage. You need to contact your HR department. Not sure what type/size company you work for.

The only issues I ever had that were even remotely like yours was I was pretty sick because of anemia and took a month off work. I was on disability so everything was still covered.

Have the deficiencies been recent? What have your labs said over the years? You're only a few years after me with the DS and I've had issues with low A, D & K, but managed to keep everything at a low normal range with large doses of each.

Since your issues seem severe, have you contacted your surgeon about potentially lengthening your common channel?

So sorry you're dealing with all of these issues. You might want to post this on the DS forum (I only read that one and this one).

Are you taking dry ADEK (instead of oil-based, which isn't absorbed adequately post-DS or gastric bypass)? And you should take separate vitamins instead of a combo vitamin; this is preferable so you can get bloodwork drawn and then modify each vitamin dose based on your lab results.

Here's what you want: dry versions of each of these vitamins

Dry D 50,000 iu: https://www.amazon.com/D3-50-50-000iu-Bio-Tech-Pharmacal/dp/ B00PH50WOC/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1530562806&sr=8-2&key words=biotech+dry+d3

Most of us take one of these in maintenance, but if you are really low, take 2 or 3 per day.

Dry A 25,000 iu (might also be contributing to vision problemes): https://www.amazon.com/BioTech-Pharmacal-25-Vitamin-Count/dp /B0051HZKKM/ref=sr_1_1_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1530562936&sr= 1-1&keywords=biotech+dry+A

Again, most take one daily for maintenance, but do 2 or 3 per day

Dry K 1000: https://www.amazon.com/Bio-Tech-K1-1000-Vitamin-K-1-Caps/dp/ B00G3A7NWY/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1_a_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=153056304 3&sr=8-1-fkmr1&keywords=biotech+dry+k
