Shaving before surgery?

Shaving was fine, but it was the mani-pedi that I was warned against. I was told not to have any polish on my fingers or toes...and 100% NO on acrylic nails, because a) it is flammable and b) the color of your nail-bed is an indicator of how much oxygen you are getting.

This was the same for me as well. I wasn't happy about no toenail polish, but I struggled through with nekkid toes.

I had my anesthesia consult today.

No prob with polish on my toes (at least they didn't say anything about it), BUT no shaving 2 days prior to surgery.

Tomorrow's my pre-op appointment. Nearly constant butterflies in my soon-to-be very much smaller stomach.
