My Journey.....started at 678

May 26, 2018

My journey started back in 2010, when i discovered that I weighed 678lbs. I was watching My 600lb life and someone's body looked similar to mine. I didn't think I weighed so much but I did. I was upset with myself because I let my little 5"1 frame get so out of control. I started the journey for weight loss surgery. I began to lose weight to prove to the surgeron that I was ready. I lost 50lb within the first month and continued with my progress. My insurance after approving my surgery called the doctor to cancel the surgery because they said they made an error in the health insurance policy. I was 10 days away from recieving the tool i needed to help me succeed.

Eight years later, I am seeking the Gastric Sleeve! My insurance as approved the surgery! YES!! . I was originally scheduled to have the surgery May 15, 2018 but the flights in the village I stay in (Alaska) cancelled due to the fog. So now I am scheduled for June 7, 2018! Pray for me!! I am excited but nervous. I have lost a 259lbs on my own so far and I look forward to losing so much more.

Congratulations! On all that weight that you've already lost. And on your perseverance. That is just incredible!

So glad you have your date lined up. Looking forward to seeing you continue to post here if you can. There are others here who have been in your highest weight range and many have succeeded. I'm betting you will too.

I'd say good luck, but you don't need it! You're making your own luck and that's the best kind. =)

Congratulations on all the weight you've lost so far -- that's simply amazing!

I'm having my surgery on 11 June, so we'll be going through some of this at the same time. I'll be very interested to hear your updates.
