What do you stock up on at the grocery store?
About 3 years out I started getting big cravings and maintaining my weight became harder to do. When I reduced my use of artificial sweetener, 90% of my cravings went away. Just something to keep in mind the further you get out. Some people never have any problems using them.

That's my biggest worry is that it will trigger cravings for sugar. I go through roughly 5 packets of splenda a day on a mild day. 10 if I am drinking tea. I am getting better about having my tea less and less sweet. Thankfully, even before surgery I never used normal sugar. My grandmother never did either, so Sweet 'n Low was the go to sweetener for tea.
bacon, butter, chicken, pork chops (we still have beef left from our cow, and an endless supply of eggs). Shredded cheese, cheese sticks, half and half, an array of canned tomato stuff (diced, sauce, pureed, rotel etc).
With the canned tomato stuff, I can make a ton of different things with the meats I usually have on hand.

Almost every post mentions yogurt and greek yogurt. I have tried and tried, but I just can't stomach it. Something about it just makes me ill. The taste, the smell, something. The same goes with cottage cheese. The only yogurt that I have found semi-tolerable is the flavored kinds with toppings, which I know aren't good for you.
Are there anyone (pre or post op) that also has this dislike for yogurts and cottage cheese? If so, what do you recommend instead? Or do I just need to force my self to tolerate it?
Maybe try the icelandic or skyr yogurt? The calories are still fairly low and high protein. I am another who lives on greek yogurt. It is a huge part of my diet.

Skyr is my favorite, it's so thick and yummy (and freaking hard to find!)

It took be a long time to get used to greek yogurt. What brands have you tried? Honestly, Danon Light and Fit greek is pretty mild since it's not a true greek yogurt. 80 calories and 12g of protein with all sorts of flavors (Strawberry Cheesecake? Yes please!). Maybe try one of those. You get more out of true greek plain yogurt, but if you can't stomach it, you can't stomach it.
I don't like the consistency of yogurt. Period. I made myself eat it at first, during the phases of beginning foods, but now I just don't eat it.
I prefer a more dense protein.

I've never been a yogurt lover. Every so often I go through a phase of "oh, I should try yogurt again" but.. nope. Ditto for cottage cheese.
But I'm totally okay not eating them :)
