c section vaccum

i am going tomorrow to have a vaccum put in my csection. dr says i had seroma n that will be best for my healing. are they painful to have or get put in?

I think you may be referring to a wound vac. This is when they lance the seroma, and allow the open wound to heal. The wound vac helps healing by applying negative pressure, it pulls off fluid, and helps the wound to granulate. It heals very fast and there is not much pain involved except possibly during dressing changes, but even then I haven't got many pain complaints.

Hoping this is what you are referring to. Not aware of any other vac that would help with a seroma.
