Wow sad. I hope she gets help for herself that she appears to need.

Bs Hala ... I would never post or have an account on unsafe Facebook .

I was one of the first posters to warn OHErs of the serious risks when ( inexplicably ) This site created a Facebook account and attempted to without permission migrate our pictures and content to Facebook.

To dispell the 'gospel of youth according to Ava'

I'm 40. Have never done drugs of any sort. Have never smoked anything of any sort. I've never been offered drugs at any age. I've neve taken (or needed) any prescription mood altering/management drugs. Fun when I was 12 was kickball in the street with my neighbors.

I would rather have fun surrounded by the people I love, watching movies, games, etc. drugs/alcohol is neve in the equation in my world, and my life is full.

Im glad that I've never had to deal with chemical dependency- you exemplify how horribly consuming it can be.

Just throwing mine in as well...I'm 32 and have also never done illegal drugs, taken prescription drugs that weren't prescribed to me for a specific issue, and I've never been a big drinker either.

Ive never needed any of those things to have a good time or make my life seem more worthwhile.

These responses ( no doubt sincere ) PROVE huge generational differences. Trust me your kids and grandkids are exposed to drugs EVERY DAY. For three bucks . And you really imagine they don't try them?!!!

Some do, yes. But not the majority. Illicit drug use is at a decline in teens (I linked a study on another post), with the highest statistic at only 6% for the most widely used illegal substance, marijuana.

Generational gap?? Between now and whenever it was that YOU were a teen? I'm not understanding what you mean on that.

I worked as a teacher until quite recently, and had a very honest and open relationship with my students as was the best way to manage my classroom full of underprivledged and at-risk kids. Sure, there was experimentation with marijuana, but it was generally "not cool at all" to regularly do drugs. The majority of kids are on the straight and narrow.

Its almost not worth replying. This backlash is why everyone stays away from the site ... you cant discuss REAL issues without being attacked and shamed.

Obviously everyone is bored to tears hearing ": two days out " wow i got approved etc. Please discuss best tasting protein drinks some more ... ugh. Ill stay away for the next few years .

We are here to support the new people and help them.... does not bore me. Has helped me with my own recovery and I am out many years (even if only part of this forum about a year).

you can discuss real issues but you backlash other innocent people... so there is really no offering kind help for your "Real problem" as you call it. I think people are happy to help with a problem you post but are upset the way you hurt others with your mean viscous backlash. Someone offers an oppinion and then instead of taking it as constructive criticism or words of wisdom you attack them (perfect example what you wrote to Mershmellow above).

I've never been " vicious" or anything but kind conpasssionate and understanding in my life . I'm not an angry person but a very grateful one.
