Surgeon Requested Reviews?

Am I just suspicious or does it seem like some surgeons are asking patients to post their results and thanks here sort of like a Yelp review?

I couldn't tell if the one I think you're talking about was solicited by the surgeon or not, but I always think those posts are weird. There's a place on OH where you can review your surgeon. Putting it on the forum does indeed seem like a Yelp review.

Either that or creating accounts to do it themselves.

Surgeons offices often ask their patients to post reviews here as this is the largest bariatric community that gives them exposure and to utilize OH as a support tool.

These were posts in the forums, not the usual reviews.

Some people do not know how to leave a review and leave it in forums. This has happened a lot over the years. We've reminded people via the boards to leave product reviews and people immediately leave them on that specific thread. ?.

My surgeon sent out an automated email asking to click yes if I liked my care. After I did, it posted a positive review for me here in part of OH where surgeons are reviewed. I then had to email his office to ask for it to be removed. I did like my care but had no intention of writing a review!

That would absolutely **** me off!!

There is some strange random review posted on the DS board from a woman who had the sleeve. Perhaps this is why. I don't like the practice of soliciting reviews. If a patient is happy with their experience, they will pipe up when it's more appropriate.
