MyFitnessPal App Not Working on Android 8.0

I'm posting it here since I've been reading the ObesityHelp forum for a while now and found a lot of people using the MyFitnessPal app and could possibly get me a solution. So the app was working fine on my Note 8 which earlier was running Android 7.0. However today as I have updated to Android 8.0 whenever I open the app it only loads a blank screen on the start up and crashes after a while. Has anyone else too encountered this error after the latest android update? Any idea how do I fix it?

Unistall the app, reboot the tablet, and reinstall the app.
