I agree not a workout tape!!!! I use to like Santana and ZZ Top!! Some of my husbands CDs that were loaded on the iPod when I went to the gym! (Prior to having an iPhone few years back!) So right there with you with the old rock and roll! Or on the other spectrum I liked Michael Jackson to workout too also! One of mine loaded on! These days don't belong to a gym anymore go to my basement and turn on the TV Usually watch today show or HGTV!

I hate to taumatize them again... but im going to schedule a visit with another vet for a second opinion before starving them.

The more i look at them... they just don?t look overweight at all. Mini ( the boy ) has a very large head and long legs and huge paws.. but his middle is really NARROW . Actually his tummy goes INWARD when he walks so im thinking he might be legitimately hungry .

Even tiny Tilly is just a healthy weight- there?s zero hanging belly or fat belly you can feel when theyre standing up . Yes, when theyre wet you can see a small layer of fat on their tummies ... but isn?t this normal baby fat in growing animals just like baby fat is normal in human children?

I definitely don?t want to be the cause of overweight related health issues but I also don?t want to cause hunger related discomfort to them.. or not give them enough calories to achieve their full growth potential.

UGH - on the other hand Mommy didn?t do so well yesterday. I went out to buy some toys to distract the little resentful ones... and found them both on the windowsill anticipating my return .. so i guess I was already forgiven. But I had already eaten ( 2 Toffyfays .. a small bag of twizzlers .. and well.. I shopped for carbs.. cereals , ? baked ? potato chips chocolate ... just all the wrong things )

I almost gave myself a serious episode of dumping .. and then just got knocked out- woke up with two tiny purring furballs on my pillow keeping me warm and waking me up with kisses wanting to play...

Thank you for the thoughtful suggestions- im definitely going to try playing music next time we have to go out :)

Animals are amazing. They'll forgive you, if you show them you're not ever going to hurt them.

How old are your babies? Are they still kittens?

Yes theyre still kittens . Mini is about 6 months .. Tilly is bit younger.

Persians don't usually get very big so they seem even younger than they are .. I probably should have taken them for their first shots a few months ago but she was very slow to trust me and they rarely go outside ...

Are they fixed? They're big enough. They need that.

No I havent yet reconciled to spayeing them. They are not related and would have amazing kittens...

What kit mouse says about fixing them.. my first cat when I was on my own in my first apartment was a tortoise shell .. she was tiny runt of the litter so I delayed fixing her until almost 4. (Indoor cat) Worried she was too tiny for surgery. Worst thing I could have done unless I had planned on letting her have kittens. She got mammary cancer around age 10 because she was spaid late and never had a pregnancy. If no pregnancy they should be fixed at 6 to 8 months (female cats). This cat had surgery twice to try to remove cancer but died at 13. She never would had gotten most likely if I had fixed her much earlier.

You can actually have their surgeries much younger--my two (born from the rescue Aria) got their surgeries when they were 4 months old, and Aria got hers right after she weened her kittens. Freeway was already altered. Ask around. There are places that will do it cheaper, if that's an issue, and there are places that will do the surgeries on rescues for free. The longer you wait, the more aggressive and vocal your male cat will be, and the more he will mark.

My little affectionate - sweetheart male never marks at all .. the little girl is ( possibly ) a small problem. But we all cuddle and keep each other warm all night every night ... and MOST nights ( and days ) there are absolutely no issues.
