As gross as it sounds I use to chew my birth control pills to make sure they were absorbed completely. It must have worked because I never got pregnant. It wasn't the best taste but I had been told if swallowed they weren't always completely absorbed and I wanted to make sure they worked. I used the pill for many years - I never used anything else. As you lose weight the fat releases hormones so that could be affecting your period. Good luck!

I had a uterine ablation about 6 years ago, and haven't had a period since. I don't know if eventually you'd like to carry a child b/c you can't after this procedure. I think I remember being told 50% of the population cease all cycles afterwards, the rest have extremely light cycles. Might be worth looking into. Good Luck in whatever you decide!
