Is an air fryer worth the money? Do you use yours regularly and for what?

Ive been toying with the idea of making more sandwiches - just because its a fast ,portable and convenient type of food ...( i usually don't eat most of the bread)

but the type of sandwiches I'd like to tweak extremely low fat require "fried " meat and seafood.

( Im trying to make a version of a shrimp po'boy sandwich and one with mashed avocado, general tso sauced "fried" chicken breast and pickled cabbage/carrot and matchstick cut scallions ( Asian slaw) )

Does the air fryer really keep lowfat seafood and chicken breast moist ? Does it thoroughly cook and make crispy your coating?

What are your favorite coatings to use ?

Frankly i was a little afraid to buy one .. i like fried zucchini a little bit too much lol.. and frying even without oil is not the healthiest way to fix vegetables. Also usually I'm not a kitchen-gadget person... but i beat the heck out of my food processor ... so maybe my reservations are a little crazy .

I'm surprised more of you foodies haven't tried one..

I have no interest in an air fryer. I fry stuff in bacon grease, butter, olive oil or avocado oil....good, healthy fats!!!!

Your extremely low fat sandwich won't be extremely low fat if you put mashed avocado on it.

We have an air fryer and it's used mainly for food for my son. We cook chicken wings in it for us, but that's about it so far. It does make everything super crunchy and not greasy, which is why my son likes it.

I use my air fryer a lot. I love sweet potato fries in it. It really helps when I having a craving for them....I am almost 9years out from surgery so I try to eat as I am supposed to but every now and then I just want a hamburger and fries and to use the air fryer for sweet potato and my hamburger patty fills the bill...I cook a lot of things in it. My slow cooker and air fryer are my friends....I eat my hamburger with the 100 calorie bun or without the bun all together and I am satisfied. I hear the electric pressure cooker thing is great too. That will be my next purchase.
