Throwing out the V day candy..surprisingly hard
An ex brought me a ( probably left over on sale ..and not very high quality) heart shaped box of Valentine?s Day chocolates on V day- its been sitting here luring me from the counter every hour of every day ever since.
I ate one piece of chocolate in front of him to be polite and another after he left ( i needed comfort- he kind of forced unwanted petting by grabbing my chest and made me feel bad emotionally)
I don?t even LIKE chocolate or sweets in general.
But its hard to discard it- I remember my many years of binging- and searching for binge food in my emptied -out apartment and having none. Boy what I would have given for these multi-flavored chocolates to be in my home ready to be savored and enjoyed THEN...
I think its hard for anyone *****members being hungry to discard perfectly edible but fattening and unhealthy food...
My plan is to put the box ( opened ) in the garbage pail and then change the kitties?litter boxes on top. NO-CAN-TAKE-BACK
Are you sure they're jogging?

If you don't want to throw out ... bring to work and put in pantry or coffee room or your hair dresser .... where I get my hair done they love treats .... they have a little table with coffee and usually cookies or something that I can not eat there that some one brought in.
I don't put labels on food "good food- bad food".
I have more candies and chocolate than I had before RNY. I may have a piece or 2 when I really want to. Chocolate is great bringing my BS up when I get RH or Hypoglycemia. A very tasty way to correct low BS.
When I feel that some candies may be in my house for too long (and we not going to eat them) I take them to work, or when I go for a visit to a friend, before they go bad or are past expiration date. Some chocolate we keep in a fridge.
I think having a nice piece of chocolate once in a while is not a big deal.
Following keto - Paleo diet I rarely get cravings for chocolate. That is IMO the difference between low fat diet and keto- when I keto I don't want most of the sweets. They don't apeal to me. Now jar of black kalamata olives is not safe with me. Given a choice- piece of chocolate vs a 1/2 cup of olives- olives win everytime.
