I honestly can't tell you the last time I watched a commercial. (Well, aside from the Dinklage/Freeman Doritoes/MtDew one I watched on YouTube the other day.)

DVR + fast forward for the win.

I also don't even come close to starving myself for weight loss. You don't look starved at all from your pictures, so I'm not sure why you make these claims? I hope that you're seeing a therapist, regardless, because you seem to have a very unhealthy relationship with both food and your body.

I don't know how to answer this because I don't starve myself. I eat normal thin person portions.

And I guess also, I don'****ch TV.

I kind of feel GRABBED by the persiastent Big Mac commercials lately also truffle lobster Mac and cheese ... grrr.

these commercials make me want to make a delicious undistinguishable version of same ... but still too much focus on and urging towards food as inappropriate comfort.

how do you - twosticks of pepperoni jerky a day and a container of yogurt basically starving yourselves constantly dieting eaters deal with this ? I call you this not as any insult just accepting the reality - like most actresses accept eating pretty much not at all.

I don't starve myself. I eat appropriately and maintain my weight loss just fine.

Maybe it is not what you are eating but the alcohol you have told us, makes your life worth living, that makes you gain?

Gee, eating a diet with normal amounts of healthy fats keeps me from feeling like I'm starving myself. Go figure.

As for the food commercials-the only reaction I might have is slight revulsion, depending on the commercial. Other than that-no effect at all.

I would strongly suggest that you check out the daily menu posts on both the VSG and RNY boards to get a realistic picture of what folks should/do actually eat.

I eat fat and protein and minimum carbs, so when I see a burger commercial, I envision that dripping juiciness naked with cheese and bacon. Truffle lobster mac & cheese? Pick out the macaroni and I'm all over that.

Adverts for Kerrygold, real grass fed butter, has the same effect for me. Natural raised food with zero chemicals. Yummo!

I am drooling now... need to go and reheat the meat. Yum. I put butter on my steak or chicken... yum.

you need to try it. Nice juice steak with a nice serving of butter on it.

I don't eat fat free. I add good healthy fat to my diet. Butter, bacon, bacon fat, coconut oil, olive oil, etc etc...

in the 70's and 80's fat free diet used to "the thing". As history and studies showed - that type of "diet" made american people fat and unhealthy.

Finally the truth is coming out that real diet needs to be full of good fats (canola oil is not it) and nutrition.

You need to get updated on not only is real but also "the thing" . Living your fat free diet shows your age...

You need to get over that. Nobody recommends fat free or low fat diet.

If I cook in a pan, not the grill, I use butter in the pan. When I reheat steak I always put a little butter on top to keep it from getting too dry.
