Honeymoon is heavenly

Easier than imagined

Real Work Ahead

Winter is Coming

I am in the midst of the honeymoon phase and it has been so freaking amazing! I know I KNOW that the real work is ahead of me but OMG am I loving this time! My appetite is now just a soft murmur in the background of my life. Yeah there are moments it gets pretty demanding, but it was a constant ROAR for years! I'm not to goal yet, but I've been doing most of this wrong so I am not complaining. My goal weight is a few pounds below the minimum my new PCP would prefer, but I'm hoping that this will give me the bounce back pad needed to end up at a healthy and doable maintenance weight. I'm the fittest I've ever been as an adult and it hasn't even been a year! I feel better than I ever have in my life. I look pretty old and wrinkly but that's a small price to pay (and I AM old so it makes sense).

I want to reach my goal weight by the end of July and I want to complete an Olympic length triathlon by the end of the year. I believe that both of these goals are totally within reach :)

Of course it's "easier" if you're doing it wrong ;)

Wouldn't it be hard to run a triathlon with a 3.5 ounce pour in your hand, though? The wine would slosh all over you.

So. Worth. Everything

I have had up's and down's, high's and low's with my WLS. Maintenance is extremely hard. Had a fantastic operation on my stomach/intestines but nothing done with my head. I still crave sugar, I still crave carbs (like bread, pasta, rice) and I work hard each day to maintain my loss. But in spite of all of that every minute of every day has been so worth it and I would do it again in a heart beat.
