Premier Protein
Right after surgery many shakes were either too sweet or too thick for me. I don't think I actually drank a "shake" for at least 3 months (I had a nasty stricture, though).
I loved Unjurys chicken broth protein powder. I also liked just plain old bone broth too.
If it's the thickness that's messing with you try Syntrax. They have some great "juice" flavors.
premier protein is almost the only protein I drink now, but it took a while before I could handle it.

A lot of people become lactose intolerant right after surgery. I'd guess that's the issue... Do you have some powders that you can mix with water in the short term?
Yes, I'm 2 days into a 14 day pre-op liquid diet. The only thing I can think of is that the Premier has whey protein and the others that I have been tolerating are soy/pea protein. Maybe I'm allergic?
I called my Doctor's office first thing this AM but they haven't called me back yet. (It's after 1pm here). Would you be a pest or wait for them to call back?

Surgery date - 2.13.18!!!
One of the things about this journey is what makes you sick now you may be able to eat/drink later..... Try to find some alternatives and maybe further in you may want to try them again. Premier Protein is the only protein drink I use but I am years out
Good Luck!
