Ready to drink protien shakes

Blech! I have been drinking protein shakes for almost 10 years and I never found a premade one I like. They all have a faint (or sometimes strong) wet-dog aftertaste to them. **shudder**
I love making my own with powders, though. I make it up in the morning and add lots of ice to keep cold for the day.
It would have to be an absolute emergency for me to drink a premade one.

I gotta agree with some of the other posters, RTD shakes are really not very appetizing. I do keep a few Premier ones on hand for emergencies, but I usually drink one of the flavors of Syntrax Nectar powders. They have 17 flavors to choose from and are alot cheaper than RTDs. I would suggest getting the sampler package and seeing what flavors you like...lots of people like the Fuzzy Navel and Roadside Lemonade. I like those and also really like the Cappuccino and Ice Tea. For as many protein shakes as you will drink over the years, it is worth it to find something that you enjoy drinking.

I developed an aversion to them after surgery, and even the smell of them sitting next to me on the table turned my stomach (I tried several). I buy Isopure clear protein drink. Very expensive, but worth it to me. Chances are you won?t like what you start with after you have surgery so research several until you find one you can keep down.
