Hi Everyone

As I watched this episode it reminded me of all my panic attacks... When she was going through the airport I remember how my stomach would be in knots of the thought of going out and having people stare at me. And the plane scene was my worst nightmares.

YIKES

This was the first time Dr. Now used the Balloon and it was very interesting for him to do so on someone so heavy. I will be curious to see in 6 months how it works out.

I know there has been some buzz on the boards about the balloon procedure. To my knowledge there were a few deaths in Europe but not here in the US. If I am wrong let me know....

So what did you guys think? Did you cringe when they showed her getting on and off the plane? What do you think about using the balloon to help get enough weight off to have surgery?

Thanks,

Kathy

I go through a variety of emotions watching, from I feel your pain to quit your moaning and just do it!! Of course, I see parts of myself too!! I don't know how she swallowed that while she was on her belly.

I agree Pat.... This reminds me of where I would be if I had not had surgery. I think we get complacent the further out we are and forget just how bad it was.

OH MY GOSH I know I was sitting here gagging when she took that huge pill..

Most of the time, I really root for the people on this show but occasionally, you come across people like Janine who are just class A whiners.

She had zero interest in doing anything for herself and just wanted the magic surgery that would let her continue what she was doing and miraculously lose the weight.

The balloon would scare the beejebus out of me. Another fad that will disappear in a year or two, I'm guessing

Subjects like this do a disservice to the people in this community who have to jump through hoops and then work REALLY HARD to lose the weight after surgery.
