Just over a year after surgery. Before and after pics.

So just over a year out of surgery. These two pictures where taken exactly 2 years to the day apart. I've been at goal now for several months and haven't been posting much. The picture from 2 years ago was just about when I had decided I was definitely going to have the surgery. I remember that day so well. I went snowshoeing because I didn't feel up to going all the way into town to go skiing. My car got stuck on the country road I had driven it up to snowshoe and I had no cell reception. I probably walked a 1/4 mile that day, it was all I could manage. I was living in one of the most beautiful places in the world but didn't have the energy to really enjoy it.

Anyway, I just wanted to share a little of my journey. I kind of stopped posting after everyone gave me such a hard time about getting plastic surgery so soon when all I really had been posting that day is how excited I was that my dr thought I was ready for it! Oh, and btw, I haven't even gone for the consult yet. I may never get plastics as I'm terrified of the pain.

The decision to have sleeve surgery was the best one I've ever made. And although I wish I could have been thin at other times in my life, I do believe that I made it at exactly the right time.

I really need to find my snowshoes; they're somewhere in the garage (full of my stuff from when I sold my house) and I keep meaning to dig them out.
