Thanks Ann. Had The best NSV today. I was shopping for dresses and trying one on. The sales lady said "oh my god that looks so good", and her friend said "oh she's got the perfect body, everything looks good when you have a body like that." Talk about twilight zone! I was literally dumbfounded...

Doesn't it feel bizarre to field those kinds of comments? In the last few years I've met numerous people who've said some version of this to me:
"Oh, skinny people like you don't have to worry about what you eat. You've probably been skinny all your life!"
My response is usually ... nothing ... because I'm just floored by every aspect of what they've just said.
And the longer my "skinniness" continues, the less compelled I feel to explain anything about my lifelong history of being chunky, overweight, obese, and morbidly obese.
I figure by this point I might as well just go ahead and "pass" as skinny.

When I was at goal for a few years I had a man who did not know I had surgery ask me if I had a six pack? he would see me at work daily going to the gym! Lol ... I wish! Clothing and spanx when needed have covered a lot of sins that WLS and exercise can not! I just smiled! A lot of attention that can be strange to deal with. Took time for my mind to be able to handle and to know who I was. It gets easier and more comfortable as years go by.
