Hypothalamic Amenorrhea

Has anyone experienced a complete absence of their period post-op? Did it come back spontaneously once your weight was stable for a while?

No, I have not.
I would not say this is typical, either, past the post-op anesthesia recovery period or baring menopause.
I would definitely recommend speaking with your ob/gyn about it.

I haven't heard of that at all. In fact, my surgeon told me that it would make me more regular. I had my period literally 6 days post-op and it was a normal (slightly heavy) one.

Mine stopped at about 6 months post op and hasn't come back yet and I'm 11 months post op now, but I'm 53 and am assuming it's menopause. My weight is still not stable as I'm not at goal yet.

The period after childbirth, you will notice that it's slightly different from the period were before the birth. If before the birth of the girl's period was not regular, after the birth they will become more regular, without delay. A unequivocal answer is not possible, every woman's process of restoring menstruation takes place individually, someone will take two months, and someone will have two years, but the period will be. Do not worry.
