Cheat sheet: vitamin recommendations

While sharing some information with a poster yesterday, I realized my go-to vitamin cheet sheet is over 10 years old! So I decided to look up the newest expert recommendations from the ASMBS and share them in an easy-to-read format.

The newest guidelines I could find came from 2016. You can read the full article here.

Here are the guidelines, laid next to a fairly standard multivitamin from the drugstore:

As you can see, the regular (not bariatric) multi does OK on the basics, but you'll want to add in separate calcium, iron, and B12 supplements to hit your targets.
