Questions
Is anyone on here from Connecticut? If so, who did you use for a doctor.
My neurologist and PCP both recommended me to a Dr. Tishler.
I have been putting this on hold for about a year and a half now and I really think I should do something. It's gonna be a new year. One thing I was really concerned about was the lose skin that will be left after losing the weight and the rashes it might cause.

Not everybody has massive amounts of loose skin. And if you DO have it, it's possible to have it removed.
Loose skin is a small price to pay for a vastly improved quality of life and a longer lifespan.

I'm from CT. I almost went with Dr Tishler (A few friends have), but went with Dr Pirillo at St Francis due to his personal connection with Obesity (Hi Dad).
2 friends had the surgery (Sleeve) with Dr Tishler 2 years ago and 1 is going through the pre-op process with him now.
Loose skin, as already mentioned, if really bad can be removed eventually. Being a healthy weight is more important to me.

Many people have no rashes with excess skin. Some people have it removed, some don't. If you do have rashes, you'll be able to make a good case to have insurance cover removal.
I will take being at a healthy weight and having loose skin over morbid obesity with no loose skin any day of the week, though!
