Had my pre-op appt today with my surgeon. Everything is good to go, so come Wednesday afternoon at 10:15, I go in for my surgery!!! Its been a very long road to get here, and now that it's finally here, I'm getting extremely nervous! I have COPD, so that's going to put new at a greater risk than most, and the surgeon has drilled that into my head. I just hope everything goes well and I come thru with flying colors!!! Guess I'll see y'all on the flip side!!!

Thanks! I had to get a couple sleeping pills to get thru the next 2 nights. I have insomnia to begin with, so I don't sleep well anyway. But being nervous and anxious doesn't help anything! Lol

I was a bundle of nerves too. I did surprisingly fine, and I'm sure you will too.

It is normal to be nervous, but we are wishing you the best for a speedy recovery. Remember to walk, walk, walk. It really will help with the healing. Also really focus on getting in your fluids in the days following surgery. It is hard at first, but keep at the sips.

That is exactly what I told my doctor today! I went in for my last 6 month appt. in order for her to approve and recommend that I be approved for surgery. Good luck! I'm sure you will do fine!
