NSV, you parked so close why?
How many times have you come out of a store or anywhere else and some bozo has parked so close that you couldn't fit in between if you tried, much less open the door. Yes I know, the thought goes through your mind you deserve a ding, but if you are big you can't get to your door. This happened so many times for me and what was so sad was I was too big to crawl over the passenger side. I would be too embarrassed to say anything and would just go back inside and sit and wait until someone came and moved the car.
I was at the store yesterday and came out and there was barely room for a small dog. My first thought was no way can I fit, but tried and was surprised not only did I fit I was able to get the car door open and not ding the jerk..

I've experienced that too, and with my regain it is getting more and more frustrating. I really don't have any good ideas on that, other than trying to park where your driver's side is next to the cart rack or doesn't have another parking slot next to it, even if you have to back into that space, whenever possible. I sometimes wish they had "mentally-handicapped" parking slots on the FAR SIDE of the lot for su*****onsiderate drivers .. (might keep them from dinging my doors with theirs in the same situation, too) ..
One word of caution to the ladies, particularly when this scenario arises at night or in a dark area of the lot. It could be a ploy by a mugger or carjacker to be able to accost you while you're "trapped" outside your car. Be wary of your surroundings and get back in the store right away if you have any doubts. I have also heard of such bad people putting something on your windshield or under your WW that takes time to remove, in order to distract the owner while they are removing it, for similar evil purposes.
